My mother is the best person in the world. She is thirty-five years old. She has long black hair and beautiful eyes. She works in a hospital as a nurse. She takes care of sick people and makes them feel better. She gets up early every morning to make breakfast for our family. She cooks delicious food for us. She helps me with my homework every evening. She is always kind and patient. When I am sad, she gives me a hug. When I do well, she smiles. I love my mother so much, and I want to make her proud of me.

动物园之旅

Last Sunday, my family went to the zoo. It was a sunny day. We took a bus to get there. The zoo was very big and there were many animals. First, we saw elephants. They were very big and grey. They were eating bananas and grass. Then we saw monkeys. They were jumping and playing in the trees. They made funny faces at us. After that, we saw giraffes eating leaves from the tall trees. We also saw tigers, lions, and pandas. The pandas were very cute. They were eating bamboo slowly. I had a lot of fun at the zoo. I want to go there again next month.

My English teacher is Miss Wang. She is young and pretty. She is about twenty-eight years old. She has short straight hair and wears glasses. She is very kind to us. She always smiles in class. Our class visited the city library last Wednesday. The library was much bigger than I expected. A kind librarian showed us around. She told us how to find books on the shelves. Books are arranged by numbers and letters. There is a quiet reading room on the second floor. Many people were reading there. We must keep quiet in the library. I found a book about dinosaurs. It had many colorful pictures. I borrowed two books with my library card. I can keep them for two weeks. I also learned that the library has free activities for children every Saturday. I want to go there again soon. Reading at the library is a great habit.

在家帮忙

I am nine years old now. I want to help my parents more at home. Every morning, I make my bed before breakfast. After school, I put my shoes in the right place and hang my school bag on the hook. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, I help my mother wash the dishes. I dry the plates and put them in the cupboard. Sometimes I help my father water the plants in the garden. My little sister is only five. I read stories to her before bedtime. My parents are happy when I help. They say I am growing up. Helping at home makes me feel proud. I learn that every family member should do their part. A happy family works together.

我喜欢的运动

I love sports. They make me healthy and happy. My favorite sport is basketball. I practice shooting and dribbling every Tuesday and Thursday after school. Our PE teacher Coach Li is very good. He teaches us teamwork and fair play. I also enjoy running in the morning. I run around the playground for fifteen minutes. Running gives me energy for the whole day.
